Source inks deal

BONITA SPRINGS — Magazine publisher Source Interlink says it has signed a deal with Retail Marketing Professionals to boost in-store merchandising. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Source Interlink, which publishes specialty magazines such as Motor Trend and Surfer, says the deal means the firm will now have 11,000 in-store merchandisers. The privately held company publishes 70 magazines and 90 websites.

“This strategic move gives us the necessary bandwidth and scale to compete as a full-service, in-store merchandising company on a national level,” says Chris Vealey, senior vice president with Source Interlink Distribution, the division that formed the alliance, in a statement.
