Naples real estate shows no sign of a slowdown.

An undisclosed buyer recently paid $16 million for a beachfront mansion in Naples, the highest price paid for a home in that area since 1999, according to James Bates, the Coldwell Banker Previews International agent who managed the transaction.

The 7,400-square-foot home called Casita de la Playa is an Addison Mizner Mediterranean-style estate built in 1926. The property includes a 75-foot heated pool and a one-bedroom guest cottage set on 1.4 acres with 160 feet of beachfront on the Gulf of Mexico.

Casita de la Playa consists of two parcels at 17 Seventh Ave. S. and 670 Gulf Shore Blvd. S. The previous owner is a limited liability company in Washington, D.C., that paid $8.1 million for the Seventh Avenue parcel in 2004 and $6.2 million for the Gulf Shore parcel in 2005, for a total of $14.3 million, according to the Collier County Property Appraiser. The managing members of the company are Mitch Willey and Michael Caplin, records show.
