Clockwork Home Services, a Sarasota-based firm that oversees three franchise operations, is now in the same company as national brands like Subway and Waste Management.

The companies were all featured on the first three episodes of the new AMC TV show “The Pitch.” The show chronicles how national and global advertising firms win clients — a somewhat real life version of AMC's hit TV show “Mad Men,” which is about a fictional advertising firm. The companies on “The Pitch” challenge advertising firms to compete with each other to create the best campaign.

“This seemed like a great fit for us,” Clockwork President Scott Boose tells Coffee Talk. “Any bit of national exposure we can get for the brand is great.”

The Subway and Waste Management episodes aired in April, while the Clockwork episode aired May 7. Clockwork, with brands that include Mister Sparky electrician services, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating, chose Houston-based FKM to run its new campaign after the show.

The advertising firm, says Boose, did the best job at combining all the winning elements of the Clockwork brand, from its on-time records to customer service. “This is an industry full of a number of local companies you have to cut through,” Boose says.

This is the second time Clockwork was featured on a reality TV show. The company was also the primary business featured on a 2010 episode of “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC.
