LabTech Software signs deals to expand distribution
Tampa-based LabTech Software has reached agreements with three international distributors to expand its remote monitoring and management solution into multiple countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
LabTech has partnered with Arete Focus, Innosoft and Dekkers Intermediair for international distribution in Sweden, Norway, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. The three IT service providers will sell, service and support LabTech Software throughout their respective regions.
“In 2012, LabTech Software will continue to expand internationally,” Jason Magee, director of worldwide channels for LabTech, says in a press release. “And we will do so while leveraging partners with in-country expertise to ensure the best partner and customer experience.”
In response to increased global demand, LabTech opened its first international office in 2008 in the United Kingdom to accommodate sales throughout Europe. It has since grown to more than 2,000 partners worldwide.
FINRA backs Yippy two-for-one share combination
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority has approved Fort Myers-based web portal Yippy Inc.'s plans for a two-for-one stock forward split. The company's ticker symbol will have a “D” added for up to 20 days post-split.
At the same time, the company also closed a bridge financing debt agreement brokered through Aegis Capital Corp. for interim financing while the company completes the necessary audit.
Sun Hydraulics issuing dividend driven by higher revenue
Sarasota-based Sun Hydraulics Corp. announced a 9 cent per share cash dividend on its common stock. The dividend is payable on Jan. 15 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 31. The company reported profit for the quarter ended Oct. 1 of $11.4 million (44 cents per diluted share) up from just $5.7 million (22 cents per diluted share) for the same quarter ended Oct. 2.

HMA hires Brandon Regional CEO to head North Florida division
Naples-based Health Management Associates Inc. has named Mike Fencel as CEO of its North Florida Division, overseeing the company's 11 affiliated hospitals in North Florida.
Fencel comes to Health Management from HCA, where he most recently served as CEO of Brandon Regional Hospital. During his tenure at Brandon Regional Hospital, Fencel managed the significant growth of that hospital, overseeing the addition of more than 150 beds, and the implementation and development of the open-heart surgery program into one of the Tampa bay region's most successful programs.
Fencel also previously served in many leadership roles within HCA, Humana, and National Medical Enterprises Inc.
Fencel will be responsible for overseeing the hospitals, physician practices, ancillary services, surgery centers and other affiliated entities in the market.
Inuvo, Vertro partner on daily deal application
Clearwater-based Inuvo Inc. has partnered with New York City-based Vertro to launch Kowabunga, a branded daily deals app on the Vertro's ALOT App Platform. The Kowabunga app is currently available to the ALOT App Platform's U.S. users, which makes up a significant portion of the platform's more than 8 million consumers.
Kowabunga, a daily deals site operated by Inuvo, delivers more than 1,800 local and national retail deals covering more than 80 U.S. markets.
The two companies recently announced plans to merge and are awaiting regulatory approval.
The ALOT App Platform allows consumers to personalize their Internet browsing experience. The platform has been downloaded more than 25 million times a year.

Bradenton CRA director taking credit union position
Bradenton's Central Community Redevelopment Agency Executive Director Sherod Halliburton has been hired by Manatee Community Federal Credit Union as its executive vice president of business development.
Halliburton is stepping down from the CRA effective Feb. 2.
Cindy Barco, president of the Manatee Community Federal Credit Union, says the company was looking for an energetic person with strong ties to the community.
Halliburton was instrumental in the relocation of the 13th Avenue Community Center and the development of the 20-acre Norma Lloyd Park Complex. He also founded the CareerEdge Funders Collaborative of Manatee and Sarasota and launched Suncoast Community Capital.
Founded in 1958 as Tropicana Federal Credit Union, the only Manatee County chartered credit union changed its name in 2010.
