Creative Loafing Tampa sold

TAMPA — CL Inc. sold Creative Loafing Tampa, an alternative weekly publication, to SouthComm Inc., a Nashville-based company. Terms of the transaction, which also included the sale of Creative Loafing Charlotte to SouthComm, were not disclosed.

CEO Marty Petty resigned in connection with the sale, a memo issued to Creative Loafing employees shows.

CL Inc. says the sale allows it to refocus its business on developing its three other publications: Chicago Reader, Creative Loafing Atlanta, and Washington City Paper.
