$18M freight firm grows further

ST. PETERSBURG -- Interstate Transport Inc. opened new service facilities in Missouri and Colorado this week, a release says.

The St. Petersburg-based freight management firm reported revenues of $17.7 million in 2009, when it was named to Inc. Magazine's list of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the nation.

Interstate Transport is part of the Interstate Logistics Group, a set of three freight and transport companies owned by Palm Beach Capital. Palm Beach Capital is a private-equity firm that has invested $325 million in 32 companies since its inception in 2001.
