BONITA SPRINGS — WCI Communities recently launched MyWCi, an application for Apple's iPad that gives residents electronic access to community amenities and homeowner's association documentation.

President and CEO David Fry says this is the first application of its kind. “This is a proprietary, custom program that we've literally created from the ground up,” Fry said in a prepared statement.

The MyWCi app's features include club event and activities calendars; access to tee times and dining reservations; electronic versions of homeowner documentation; photos, bios and direct contact links for all community and club staff; resource information for new homebuyers including electric, telephone and cable companies; and online newsletters and announcements.

Property owners also have the option of adding the ability to remotely monitor several home systems, for an additional expense.

The app works for four of WCI's communities: Pelican Preserve, in Fort Myers; Venetian Golf & River Club, in Venice; Tiburon in Naples; and Manchester Square, also in Naples.
