SinoFresh starts clinical trial

VENICE — SinoFresh HealthCare Inc. (symbol: SFSH) announced plans to enter its antiseptic nasal spray product into a set of clinical trials. If the spray emerges from those trials as a legitimate treatment for sinusitis, the Venice-based business could see long-term improvement in sales.

SinoFresh officials have been talking about clinical trials since early last month, when the firm acquired Virginia-based SRS International Inc. in an all-stock deal. In acquiring SRS, SinoFresh obtained the services of its principal, John Todhunter, who claims significant experience in dealing with both the FDA and the EPA on his resume.

In addition, Todhunter spent some time serving as part of the EPA, having been appointed to the agency by President Ronald Reagan.
