United Materials buys second building

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Naples-based United Materials Inc. purchased a 16,820-square-foot industrial building for $700,000. The price equated to $42 per square foot.

The building, on 1.89 acres, features 1,655 square feet of office space, 9,744 square feet of warehouse space and a 5,421-square-foot overhang area.

Christine Gonnering McManus of Investment Properties Corp. handled the transaction.

United Materials currently operates from another building in the Trade Center of Naples industrial park at 1959 Trade Center Way.

“It's in a great location in that industrial park, where two roads meet — Taylor Road and Trade Center Way,” McManus says. “It's very rare to find that much land in that park.”

The owner plans to refurbish the 1615 Trade Center Way building. It will also likely retain its existing building, McManus says. United Materials is an importer and wholesaler of natural stone slabs and tiles.
