Ohio firms acquires KRMT

One of the Tampa Bay area's largest accounting firms was acquired by a public company based in Cleveland yesterday, as CBIZ Inc. obtained the business of Kirkland, Russ, Murphy & Tapp P.A. (KRMT) for an undisclosed amount.

KRMT has provided clients with its financial services since 1991. Today, the company employs 75 associates, and generates $12 million in annual revenues.

The acquisition of KRMT is expected to add $0.01 in per share earnings to CBIZ's financials. In 2009, the Cleveland firm earned $31.4 million in profits on $739.7 million in revenues.
