ST. PETERSBURG — Salt Palm Development has unveiled plans for The Bismarck, a six-unit townhome project at 3023 1st Ave. N., in St. Petersburg’s historic Kenwood neighborhood. It's the third St. Pete townhome development for Salt Palm since 2018, following The Sabal and The Royal.

According to a press release, the three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom residences will range in size from 2,945 to 3,102 total square feet, including outdoor living space and a two-car garage. Each unit will be Energy Star-rated and completely solar ready — a hallmark of Salt Palm Development’s commitment to eco-friendly buildings.

The firm is Florida’s first and only Certified B Corp developer, meaning it meets “the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose,” according to B Lab, a global network of B Corporations.

“It was important to me that any company that I am a part of be a positive agent of change, and that it transparently do so,” Salt Palm Development founder and Chairman Jared Meyers tells the Business Observer. “There is simply too much greenwashing out there and B Corps are the only way I know to easily differentiate companies that are actually doing what they say from ones that are merely good at marketing.”

Built in a modern farmhouse style, the release states, The Bismark’s residences will offer detailed gables, varied textures and cladding and vinyl impact-rated windows. Salt Palm Development plans to break ground on the project next year, with a completion date of May 2023. Pricing starts at $799,000.
