SARASOTA — Craft beer and pizza restaurant Oak & Stone will open its second Sarasota-area location this spring on Clark Road.

The brand first opened in east Manatee County in 2016. The new Oak & Stone, in south Sarasota, will open in a former Buffalo Wild Wings at 4067 Clark Road in the Expo on Clark shopping plaza, according to a press release.

The restaurant will include a self-serve beer tap wall, handmade pizzas, house-made burgers, sandwiches, soups, entrees and salads. The Clark Road location will also offer 50 rotating varieties of American craft beers on tap, with an emphasis on local and regional breweries, such as Calusa Brewing, JDub’s Brewing and Sarasota Brewing. It will also serve wines and spirits, including a bourbon and whiskey tasting flight at a full bar, the release adds.

The restaurant is 8,143 square feet with seating for 152 indoors and on an outdoor patio. A pizza bar, in a first for the brand, will allow guests to sit, dine and watch as their pizzas are prepared.

Oak & Stone also has a location near University Town Center. It opened its second location in downtown St. Petersburg last summer. Additional locations are in the works for Bradenton and Naples, the press release adds.

“We’ve been extremely pleased with the reception our first restaurant on University Parkway has received since opening in 2016,” says co-founder Joe Seidensticker in the statement. “When the opportunity came to open an additional restaurant, we couldn’t wait to expand our presence in our hometown.”

Seidensticker opened Oak & Stone with longtime friend and business partner Brett Decklever.
