Former Kalin's furniture building sells for $6 million

The 5.65-acre property includes a 130,000-square-foot building.

SARASOTA — Furniture Warehouse has purchased the former showroom and warehouse for Kalin’s furniture store in Sarasota for $6 million. 

According to a press release, Furniture Warehouse signed a one-year lease and then decided to buy it. “Once they saw the building had value and realized the kind of bones it had, they wanted it,” says J. Chris Malkin, a senior advisor with SVN Florida, in a statement. Malkin coordinated the sale.
