GTE Financial has appointed Carol Meyer to be vice president of talent and organizational development in Tampa Bay, where she will be “overseeing human resources and setting a strategic plan to continue to elevate their talent acquisition.”

The move by the credit union is part of its “Executive Team and Women in Leadership” initiative. Meyer, who assumed her new role at the start of the year, will work out of GTE Financial’s corporate headquarters.

“I am so delighted to be joining such a dedicated and dynamic institution as GTE Financial,” Meyer says in a statement. “GTE’s commitment to providing an exceptional employee and member experience is the pinnacle of its organizational success.  I am honored to lead an engaging employment journey that supports this mission while valuing the institutions’ obligation to performance excellence, diversity, continuous development, and total rewards.”

Prior to joining GTE Financial, Meyer worked for Universal Orlando, Walt Disney World – Vista Federal Credit Union, BankFirst, UC Synergetic and Orlando Credit Union.

GTE Financial has operated for more than 85 years and has more than $2 billion in assets.
