Tampa managed IT services firm Big Sur Technologies has acquired a Sarasota company in the same industry.

Big Sur, according to a statement, purchased Alliance IT LLC. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

The acquisition, the release states, allows Big Sur to expand its client base into markets in Bradenton, Sarasota and Venice. Alliance IT’s client base focuses on legal, manufacturing, engineering, construction, financial services and nonprofits, where the firm handles Microsoft Office 365 Modern Workplace solutions, Azure hosting and compliance consulting. "We're excited to deliver comprehensive network support to a broad base of new clients," Big Sur CEO Sam Sandusky says in the release.

Big Sur says it provides “comprehensive IT support, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, managed voice services and strategic technology consulting.”

Alliance IT co-founder and principal Kevin Baylor, in the release, says “this is not the end of the Alliance IT story. Rather, it is the beginning of an exciting new chapter, one that builds upon everything we've accomplished together. Our clients will continue to receive the personalized service and trusted relationships they have come to expect, while gaining access to a larger team of technology professionals, enhanced cybersecurity services, expanded compliance expertise and additional strategic resources through Big Sur Technologies.
