Financial advisory firm Capital Wealth Advisors, based in Naples, has acquired Neptune Advisory LLC, doing business as Neptune Wealth, serving clients in Wisconsin and Florida. Two advisers from Neptune Wealth have also joined the Collier County firm.

The move strengthens tax planning capabilities for Capital Wealth Advisors, according to a statement, which says Neptune combines coordinated tax and financial planning as part of the basis of its practice. Offering this approach will provide specialized support in-house for executive compensation and family office-style coordination.

“Families should not have to assemble tax planning, investments, estate planning and insurance from four different places,” Capital Wealth Advisors CEO and President William Beynon says in a statement. “This combination puts more of that under one roof — and it adds advisors in Tampa and Wisconsin as we continue to grow our footprint.”

Neptune President Mark Strey and Financial Advisor Jason Kaplan have joined the Naples firm from Wisconsin and Florida, respectively. In his new role, Strey is Capital Wealth Advisors’ senior vice president of tax and financial planning, while Kaplan is advisor of financial planning.

Strey works with high-net-worth individuals and families on coordinated tax and financial planning, with a focus on executive compensation arrangements, according to a statement.

Kaplan, who helped shape Neptune’s investment strategies and built personalized financial plans for clients, will continue working with families and businesses in the Tampa market, the statement says.

Founded in 2004, Capital Wealth Advisors is an independent financial advisory firm that serves high-net-worth families and entrepreneurs through wealth advisory, risk management and estate planning services. The firm has about $4.5 billion in assets under management as of March 1 and is supported by a team of more than 75 employees. While it is headquartered in Naples, it also has offices in Erie and Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and Charlotte and Cary, North Carolina.
