Breeze Airways will soon offer its first nonstop flight between Tampa and Costa Rica, with service to the country’s capital, San José, launching Saturday, Oct. 3.
The low-cost airline will operate the route on Wednesdays and Saturdays, a release says, with one-way fares starting at $149.
The new route is Breeze Airways’ 39th nonstop flight offered from Tampa International Airport since the company launched in May 2021.
Breeze now operates more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes to 91 cities across the U.S., Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, the release says.
Founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, Breeze focuses on providing nonstop flights to secondary and underserved markets. It flies Airbus A220-300 aircraft and offers passengers free family seating, preferred seating and onboard Wi-Fi.
The airline was named to Time’s list of the 100 most influential companies and Forbes’ Best Brands for Value list for 2026, according to the release.
