Crews Bank & Trust, a $2.3 billion-asset bank based in Hardee County, has named a top executive for the Lee County market as it looks to grow market share in Southwest Florida.
The Wauchula bank appointed Todd Rinehart to that position, saying, in a statement, that the move, a promotion, reinforces “the bank’s commitment to continued growth and relationship-based banking in Southwest Florida.” Rinehart joined the bank in 2019 as a vice president and was named senior vice president and senior commercial banker in 2023, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Rinehart is now responsible for the overall performance, growth and community presence of the bank across Lee County, the release states. He will oversee commercial lending, business banking, treasury management and retail and wealth management, while leading market strategy and business development.

The new full-service branch, at The Park Shops at Andrea Lane, 14261 S. Tamiami Trail, is expected to open in August and will replace the bank’s Lee County loan office, which opened in 2016. The new space is being renovated to offer a full-service banking experience, the release states, “blending modern technology with the bank’s signature hometown service.”
“We’re excited to have Todd leading our expansion,” Crews Bank & Trust Chief Banking Officer M.W. "Larry" McLaren IV. says in the release. “As we prepare to open our new Fort Myers branch, his leadership and long-standing ties to the community will play a key role in building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.”
Rinehart’s banking career started in 1978 while still in high school in Cape Coral, working part-time through a cooperative education program while attending classes full-time. Prior to Crews Bank he was a senior lending officer with Preferred Community Bank in Fort Myers for a decade. “I’m excited for the opportunity to lead our efforts in Lee County, especially as we open our new Fort Myers branch,” Rinehart says in the release.
