Decks & Docks, a Clearwater-based distributor of composite decking and outdoor living supplies, has expanded into Minnesota with the purchase of Minneapolis-based Pro Deck Supply, the company announced Monday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2014, Pro Deck Supply offers framing, decking, railing and deck accessories to both professional contractors and DIY homeowners, according to a release. Known for providing local expertise and developing deep customer relationships, Pro Deck Supply and its employees will now continue operations under the Deck & Docks name.

“Decks & Docks will be an ideal new home for our dedicated employees and customers,” Pro Deck Supply owner Pat Noonan says in the release. “I look forward to seeing all that Pro Deck Supply will accomplish in partnership with the Decks & Docks team.”

The sale gives Decks & Docks’ yet another location in the Midwest after the company purchased Kansas City-based The Deck Supply in June, the company says. Decks & Docks President Tyler Wallace says the purchase of Pro Deck Supply is part of the company’s long-term growth strategy and entering the Minnesota market is a “logical step” that positions the company for continued growth.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Pro Deck Supply team into the Decks & Docks family as we continue our Midwestern expansion, deepen our ability to deliver unparalleled products and service, and solidify our position as the go-to source for decking and outdoor living building products,” Shawn Roberts, CEO of Decks & Docks, says in the release.

Founded in 1991, Decks & Docks is known as a “one-stop shop” for contractors, offering a comprehensive suite of products including composite decking, railings, pilings and vinyl seawall. It currently operates 65 facilities across 22 states and offers shipping domestically and internationally.
