Sarasota-based brand Boar’s Head has been known for years for its meats and cheeses. Now it is entering a new category, with the release of its Greek yogurt dessert dip collection.

Boar’s Head recently launched three dessert-inspired flavors for its new dip: key lime, cinnamon churro and chocolate expresso.

"We're thrilled to pioneer a new category with our Greek Yogurt Dessert Dips," Boar’s Head Director of Product Marketing Steve Alfris says in a statement. "This collection was designed for versatility, to be dipped, shared, paired or enjoyed by the spoonful."

The low-fat dips have a Greek yogurt base and contain no artificial colors or flavors, according to a statement, which says they are also gluten-free and contain probiotics.

"It reflects our commitment to mindful snacking and our passion for bridging innovative, premium-quality options to consumers in new ways," Alfris says.

Adding Greek yogurt dips expands the growing dessert portfolio for the brand, which released dark chocolate dessert hummus in 2017 and pumpkin pie dessert hummus in 2019.

Boar’s Head, based in the 1800 block of Main Street in Sarasota, was founded in 1905. It says it currently offers more than 500 products, from deli meats, cheeses and condiments to dips and other snack foods.
