Tampa-based real estate developer Souza Development started the new year with the appointment of a new president.
Alissa Sieben, 36, was hired by the residential real estate firm. She has more than 15 years experience working and leading family offices and development firms, the company says.
She was hired from her role as CEO at Laine Development, another Tampa-based developer, where she’s worked since January 2023.
Sieben began her career in land use law, litigating complex negotiations and regulatory approvals. She then transitioned into real estate development with a job at Norstar Development USA in 2016 and later went on to hold multiple positions with 2nd Wave Development, according to a statement. She eventually rose to the position of senior vice president from 2020 to 2024 at 2nd Wave.
At both companies, Sieben gained experience leading multifamily, mixed-use and commercial projects — a role she’ll emulate at Souza Development, the release says.
Not only will she lead Souza Development, but also its two divisions: Oasis Amenities, specializing in design-build services for large-scale communities, and Alda Strategic, providing marketing, branding and placemaking services for real estate projects.
“Her broader expertise in business scaling continues to foster strategic partnerships and deliver high-impact, enduring communities,” the release from Souza Development says.
Founded by Christopher and Genna Souza in 2021, Souza Development is a privately held real estate development firm specializing in mixed-use and master-planned communities.
