A Tampa-based CPA firm has promoted two longtime  leaders to shareholders.

Rivero, Gordimer & Company, one of the largest CPA headquartered firms in Tampa, announced this week that Brooke Dawson and Dennis Paleveda have both been named new shareholders in the firm.

The two promotions come as RGCO seeks to continue investing in long-term growth and leadership development, the company says in a release. Founded in 1983, RGCO, a full-service accounting and advisory firm, has steadily expanded over its four decades, including a major relocation in 2024 to its new suite at One Tampa City Center.

Dawson joined RGCO in 2014 and Paleveda joined the firm in 2016, the release says, both Tampa natives bringing expertise and a “people-first approach” to the firm’s culture.

“Brooke and Dennis have each earned the respect of their clients and colleagues through the quality of their work, the way they lead, and the care they bring to every engagement,” RGCO managing shareholder Herman Lazzara says in the release. “They represent the best of RGCO—technical excellence, strong relationships, and a commitment to supporting our team. We’re excited to welcome them to the Shareholder group and look forward to their continued impact on the firm’s future."

Dawson has most recently served as a senior manager on the assurance team at RGCO, with a focus on nonprofits, the release says.  Paleveda most recently served as senior audit manager on the assurance team at RGCO. He previously worked as an auditor for the State of Florida and has a background in public accounting, the release says.
