A Bank of America branch on U.S. 41 in Sarasota County has reopened following a more than yearlong closure due to renovations. The Gulf Gate branch at 6525 South Tamiami Trail recently started welcoming clients again, after shuttering in late 2024 as a result of Hurricane Milton; roof and water damage from the hurricane required repairs.
The Gulf Gate financial center includes private offices for assisting clients one-on-one, on-site financial specialists and the latest technology, according to a statement.
Associates at the branch join more than 460 Bank of America employees across Sarasota and Manatee counties.
“Our financial center network is core to our business and gives us a strategic advantage today and going forward,” Bank of America Sarasota/Manatee President Stephenie Whitfield says in a statement. “By integrating our high-tech and high-touch approach, the financial center will help meet our clients where they are.”
Bank of America has made a $29 million investment in its financial center footprint in Sarasota and Manatee counties over the next four years, renovating 23 branches with plans to renovate two more in the years ahead. Bank of America also operates 75 ATMs in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
