Allegiant has launched a new flight from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport to Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) in Rochester, New York.

The route began Feb. 13 and will operate up to three times a week, according to a statement from the Las Vegas-based airline. 

“We’re thrilled to see Allegiant continue expanding service at SRQ, and this new nonstop route to Rochester, New York, strengthens our connections to the Northeast,” Paul Hoback Jr., president and CEO of Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, says in a statement. “These flights provide passengers another convenient, affordable way to visit the Sarasota Bradenton area and help drive additional tourism.”

Allegiant offers more than 30 destinations from SRQ.

“This expansion reflects our commitment to delivering travel that’s more accessible, affordable and enjoyable,” Drew Wells, Allegiant's chief commercial officer, says in a statement. “Our brand of service and low fares continues to resonate with travelers who are looking to build the vacation of their dreams at unbeatable value.” 

Allegiant connects small-to-medium cities with nonstop flights. The Sarasota-Bradenton airport serves nearly 70 nonstop destinations in total.
