A Tampa property management and development company has been hired to oversee rentals at Hunters Point, the net-zero residential community in Cortez. Mainsail Lodging & Management will handle rental operations and property oversight at the waterfront development, created by Pearl Homes.
“Mainsail’s track record speaks for itself,” Pearl Homes founder Marshall Gobuty says in a statement. “They understand how to operate complex hospitality environments at a high level, and that’s exactly what we wanted to bring to Hunters Point as we expand our rental program. This is about delivering a consistent experience for homeowners and guests alike.”
Mainsail manages hotel properties and temporary furnished residences across the Southeast and Caribbean. Hunters Point will be overseen by the Tampa company’s Mainsail Vacation Rentals division, which provides 24/7 service and an operating platform that offers reservations coordination, guest services, housekeeping and maintenance oversight, offering what officials say is a turnkey solution for homeowners.
“We approach every property with the same focus on execution, accountability and guest experience,” Mainsail Lodging & Development President Joe Collier says in a statement. "We expect Hunters Point to be a highly attractive option for travelers seeking a more private, experience-driven stay along Florida’s Gulf Coast.”
Mainsail Vacations Rentals, which began in 2019, focuses on building and operating a portfolio of private homes in high-demand leisure markets. It offers the infrastructure of an established lodging operator — providing centralized reservations, revenue management, marketing and guest operations services — with the flexibility of a residential rental model, according to the statement.
Already, Mainsail Vacation Rentals has multiple properties in the area in its portfolio. Among them are Waterline Villas & Marina, Mainsail Beach Inn and Mello on the Beach in Holmes Beach. Mainsail is also a partner of Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy.
