Virginia-based builder Stanley Martin Homes is poised to bring nearly 500 new townhomes and single-family residences to Hillsborough and Pasco counties by early 2026, the company has announced.

It will be Stanley Martin Homes’ first foray into the Tampa market, a move leadership touts as part of its broader commitment to an increased presence in Florida.

“Expanding into Tampa is a natural next step as we grow our footprint across Florida,” Eric Marks, regional president for the homebuilder’s Tampa division, says in the statement. “This market allows us to continue delivering on our promise of building exceptional homes in exceptional places.”

Stanley Martin Homes has five new neighborhoods in development, two in Hillsborough County and three in Pasco County. Land development is already underway across all communities, with construction activity expected to increase in the coming months.

Westchase Station Townhomes will offer 38 units in Tampa’s Westchase area, and Avalon Park West Town Center Townhomes will offer 197 units in Wesley Chapel. Both townhome communities advertise three-story homes up to 1,981 square feet with three to four bedrooms, three and a half baths and two-car rear load garages.

Stanley Martin Homes, the release states, also hopes to build 168 single family homes in its Avalon Park West Town Center development in Wesley Chapel and 84 single family homes in Compass Point in Apollo Beach's MiraBay neighborhood.

Then, in late 2026, the homebuilder plans to open Villages of Pasadena Hills in Dade City, a sprawling community of 439 homes.

Prices range from townhomes starting in the low $300s to single family homes priced from the upper $300s to mid $500s, according to the company.

“Our goal is to offer homes that reflect the way people live today — smart floorplans, convenient locations, and communities built around connection. We’re excited to introduce that vision to Tampa,” Rick Harcrow, Division President of Tampa, says in the announcement.

All of the planned developments will offer walkable neighborhoods with convenient access to dining and shopping, as well as resort-style amenities like clubhouses and cafes, fitness centers, tennis and pickleball courts, scenic walking and biking trails, and a variety of pools.

Started in Reston, Virginia in 1966, Stanley Martin Homes has built more than 40,000 homes across 15 metropolitan areas and seven states, including Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. The company is a subsidiary of the Daiwa House Group, one of the largest housing, construction and development companies in the world, headquartered in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan. Stanley Martin Homes was named National Builder of the Year in 2021 by Builder Magazine.
