Riko’s Pizza, an expanding tavern-style restaurant chain mostly in the Northeast, is opening a location in Naples.
The corporate-owned restaurant will be at 8710 Addison Place Drive at the intersection of Collier Boulevard and Immokalee Road and across from Founders Square, the 55-acre mixed-use development.
Riko’s, in a statement, says the 3,500-square-restaurant is currently in the final stages of construction and expected to open early next month. When complete, it will feature a menu of “super-thin crust bar pies,” wings, made-to-order salads, sharables and desserts.
Among its best-known menu items is its signature Hot Oil Pie, a thin-crust cheese pizza with a “spicy kick” from a homemade hot oil made with a batch of stinger peppers.
There will also be a bar with 20 stools.
The Naples Riko’s will be the chain’s second in the state. The other one is in the Palm Beach County village of Tequesta. The company, according to a spokesperson, has a location opening in Miami “soon.”
President and Chief Operating Officer Carl Bachmann says in the statement that Florida is key to the company growth strategy and that the Naples locations is “An important next step (in) establishing a presence on the Gulf Coast.”
The company nor the spokesperson say how many locations in Florida it plans to open.
Riko’s was founded in 2011 in Stamford, Connecticut, and is known for its “super-thin crust” tavern-style pies. According to its website, it operates six locations in Connecticut and two in New York.
A North Carolina restaurant is slated to open Oct. 6.
