Roland Foods, a New York food importer with operations in South Florida, plans to move into its new Plant City facility early next year.

The company is currently building out the space for cold and freezer storage to power its national food distribution network.

The new facility is 112,000 square feet in Plant City’s Lakeside Logistics II industrial park. It is on Coronet Road just south of U.S. 92.

Lakeside Logistics, according to JLL, which oversees the leasing and announced the move, totals more than 400,000 square feet across two buildings. Building 1 is 189,000 square feet and fully leased.

Roland Foods will occupy a portion of Building 2, leaving 50,062 square feet available for another tenant.

New York-based Roland carries more than 1,200 products “from global pantry staples to innovative specialty ingredients and dishes,” according to its website. It has been in business since 1934 and has more than 200 suppliers in 90 countries.

Its customers include restaurants, manufacturers, retailers and distributors.

Lakeside Logistics, according to JLL, was “designed to support high-volume distribution.” It features 32-foot clear heights, front-load configurations, 130-foot truck courts, early suppression fast response sprinkler systems and LED lighting throughout.

There are 355 combined parking spaces and 77 dedicated trailer drop positions — 39 at Building 1 and 38 at Building 2.
