A Venice company that creates outdoor aluminum enclosures has acquired a fellow Sarasota County business in a move officials say will complement its offerings.
Commercial Residential Aluminum, based out of Triple Diamond Boulevard in Venice, purchased American Lightscapes, which is based on Porter Lake Drive near the Celery Fields.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
American Lightscapes combines landscaping with architectural lighting to illuminate homes and commercial properties in transformative ways, according to its website.
Commercial Residential Aluminum creates patio and pool enclosures, fencing, screen rooms, gutters, carports, railings and other exterior products for residential and commercial clients.
“Lighting is a complementary addition to our core enclosure product line,” Commercial Residential Aluminum CEO Doug Sorantino says in the statement. “The combination will provide enhanced offerings for our customers in the near-term across our portfolio of exterior aluminum product solutions.”
The acquisition is the first add-on since North Carolina-based holding company Garden City Equity and a co-investor acquired a majority stake in Commercial Residential Aluminum earlier this summer. At that time, Commercial Residential Aluminum’s founder said the investment would support the Venice company’s continued growth. In addition to Venice, Commercial Residential Aluminum has offices in Valrico and Fort Myers.
