Barancik Foundation in Sarasota names new president and CEO

A private family foundation in Sarasota with a nearly $800 million endowment has chosen a new leader. John Brothers has been named the next CEO and president of the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, effective Dec. 1, according to a statement. 

Brothers most recently served as the president of T. Rowe Price Foundation and T. Rowe Price Charitable, philanthropic entities associated with the Baltimore investment firm T. Rowe Price. In those roles, Brothers oversaw more than $750 million in combined assets and over $150 million in annual giving, according to a statement.

He was selected through a national search by the Barancik Foundation’s board that drew hundreds of competitive applicants, in a process facilitated by nonprofit executive recruiting firm Kittleman & Associates, headquartered in Chicago, according to a statement.
