Hoffmann Family of Cos. acquires Naples marine tourism business

Naples-based conglomerate the Hoffmann Family of Cos. has purchased Pure Florida, a business that specializes in maritime tourism. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Based at 1200 Fifth Ave. S. in Naples, Pure Florida provides fishing, cruises, dolphin tours, boat rentals, personal watercraft rentals and private charters, according to its website. It was founded in 2009 by Captains Lane and Harry Julian, a father-son duo.

“The Julians have built an exceptional business in Southwest Florida, and we’re excited to carry their legacy forward,” Hoffmann Marine President Jenny Gezella says in a statement.

Hoffmann Marine is a division of the Hoffmann Family of Cos. that includes 16 businesses with a fleet of 46 vessels across seven states, according to its website. Other Naples businesses in its marine portfolio include Port O Call Rentals, Port O Call Marina, Miss Naples and Naples Princess Cruises.

A family-owned private equity firm, Hoffmann Family of Cos. includes more than 120 brands that employ 17,000 workers worldwide. Its verticals range from agriculture to media.
