A French logistics company will permanently close its St. Petersburg facility next January, impacting nearly 100 employees.

ID Logistics US Inc. will be shutting down operations at 2007 and 2005 Gandy Blvd. N. on Jan. 31, 2026. The company, according to executives, then plans to transfer all operations and customer business from the St. Petersburg location to another facility located in Ruskin

The company made the announcement Oct. 2 in a letter sent to the Florida Department of Commerce. Companies are required to alert local and state authorities of mass layoffs under the federal Worker adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.

According to the letter, the move will impact 93 direct employees of ID Logistics US, as well as an additional 81 temporary workers assigned to work at the company’s St. Pete facility through a third-party employer.

ID Logistics says it will offer all employees, including those temporary workers, a transfer to the Ruskin facility with no changes to the terms and conditions of their employment. However, any employee who does not accept a transfer will be terminated from the company beginning Dec. 14, 2025, with layoffs expected to continue through Dec. 28, 2025.

Employees are not represented by a union and have no bumping rights, the letter says.

According to its website, ID Logistics is an international contract logistics and transport company working in the retail, consumer goods, e-commerce and industrial supply chain sectors. Founded in 2001, the company boasts more than 400 locations in 18 countries and an estimated 42,000 employees worldwide.
