A Manatee County-based tech company that serves the insurance industry has named a new leader as the business prepares to expand into other sectors. Greg Johnson assumed the role of CEO at Confianza in August, according to an October statement.

Johnson has held executive positions with companies including LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Cortera/Moody’s, EMC Corporation and Array, according to a statement, which says he has experience scaling technology and analytics organizations and driving value creation.

Confianza’s former CEO, Jeffrey Glazer, has been appointed executive chairman.

“Greg Johnson is uniquely equipped to help drive Confianza into its next chapter of growth," Glazer says in a statement, which says the two will collaborate with the executive team to guide strategy and accelerate growth.

Confianza provides a technology platform that assists insurance industry leaders with analytical products and services, from its headquarters at 7910 N. Tamiami Trail near the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. The company, which was founded in 2020, says it serves dozens of companies across the country.

Appointing the new CEO comes as Confianza has expanded into additional industries, distribution and system integration partners, according to a statement.

For the near-term, the statement says, Johnson will be focused on go-to-market strategy as well as adding AI capabilities into the Confianza platform, expanding the team and developing new products.
