A national developer cut the ribbon at its new apartment community in Bradenton featuring a lazy river. Thompson Thrift celebrated the opening of The Stadler, a 279-unit complex located at 7120 Henry Drive, on Nov. 11.
Apartments at The Stadler have one, two and three bedrooms. From 407 to more than 1,400 square feet, they feature energy-efficient appliances, walk-in closets and full-size washers and dryers. Rent starts at $1,490 for a studio apartment with one bathroom.
Among the amenities at the community are pickleball courts, dog park, pet spa, grooming station, fitness studio, business center with focus suites, fire pit, golf simulator and sky deck. Its swimming pool feature — the lazy river — distinguishes The Stadler, officials say.
"The team wanted to create a unique, one-of-a-kind amenity that residents couldn’t find elsewhere in the market," Thompson Thrift Vice President of Preconstruction Kaleb Schevlin says in a statement. "The lazy river sets The Stadler apart from other multifamily communities in the area and enhances the overall resident experience."
Tenants began moving into The Stadler at the end of July, and the ribbon cutting was scheduled for November to allow for the clubhouse, amenity spaces and some of the apartment buildings to be turned over to community management, according to a statement.
Thompson Thrift, a developer focused on multifamily and mixed-use projects, has invested more than $6.6 billion into its communities across 23 states. The nearly 40-year-old company is headquartered in Indianapolis and has offices in Terra Haute, Indiana; Phoenix; Westminster, Colorado; and Houston.
On the Gulf Coast, Thompson Thrift has developed apartment complexes including Palm Grove in Ellenton, The Concord in Sarasota, The Sophia in Venice and The Hadley in North Port. On the commercial side, it also built Cape Coral Commons, a 44,000-square-foot retail center in Cape Coral.
