A finance leader with experience in the aviation industry has been appointed CFO of the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. Kevin Podsiad will oversee financial operations for the fast-growing airport, which posted more than $146 million in revenue in fiscal year 2024.

A CPA, Podisad served for 10 years at Tampa International Airport, most recently as director of financial planning and reporting.

Podsiad joins the executive team shortly before another leader departs: SRQ President and CEO Rick Piccolo will retire June 30 following 30 years of service at the airport.

A search firm has been selected by the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority to guide the board through the selection process for a new president and CEO. Korn Ferry is the agency overseeing the search, according to the authority’s November minutes, which state that Piccolo will serve as an advisor through the end of the year.

SRQ is an independent entity and has no ad valorem taxing power; it is self-sufficient, supporting its annual operating and debt service budget from its business operations.
