Ian Black Real Estate has been picked to manage Ibis Investment Co.’s Sarasota-area properties.

The Sarasota commercial real estate firm will oversee the company’s six-property, 333,000-square-foot portfolio. The properties include a mix of office, retail and quasi-industrial space, according to a statement.

With this assignment, Ian Black now has 2.3 million square feet under management.

Alison Blair will be the property manager for the Ibis portfolio and work with Ian Black’s 14-person property management team. Blair currently manages 280,000 square feet of Class A office space in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The properties in the Ibis portfolio include:

  • The Sarasota Commerce Center at 100 Paramount Drive
  • The Live Oak Office Center at 2201 Cantu Court
  • The Live Oak Commerce Center at 2251-2401 Cattlemen Road
  • The Live Oak Corporate Center I at 2601 Cattlemen Road
  • The Live Oak Corporate Center II at 2621 Cattlemen Road
  • The Cattleridge Business Center at 2821-2837 Cattlemen Road

While the assignment is new, Ian Black’s relationship with suburban Detroit-based Ibis and with the portfolio is longstanding.

The firm has been the leasing agent for the portfolio since 2018, a year after Melissa Harris, a partner at Ian Black, sold a property at 6010 Cattleridge Blvd. to Sarasota County for Ibis.
