Unicoat Returns to Bradenton Convention Center for Building Expansion and Roof Restoration

Unicoat is proud to announce our return to Bradenton Convention Center in 2025 for another major roofing restoration project. Thirteen years ago, we completed a comprehensive coating of the facility’s expansive metal roof, and we’re honored to be called back to restore and protect the same roof once again-an enduring testament to the durability and quality of our work.

The Bradenton Convention Center’s metal roof, covering approximately 83,000 square feet, required a meticulous and professional approach, and the Unicoat team delivered from start to finish. As with all our projects, we supplied all necessary equipment to ensure a seamless and efficient operation. The process began with a thorough power washing of the entire surface to remove accumulated dirt, debris, and any loose materials, preparing the roof for the next critical steps.

Next, our technicians primed all rusted areas to prevent further corrosion and maintain the roof’s structural integrity. Any loose or missing fasteners were replaced with oversized fasteners to reinforce attachment points and improve the roof’s overall performance. Every fastener and open seam area was carefully sealed using high-performance patching cement, ensuring complete waterproofing and long-term resilience.

For optimal adhesion and protection, we applied GacoFlex E5320, a high-quality two-part epoxy primer. This product was spray-applied to create a uniform, durable base layer. Once the primer was fully cured, we followed with three spray-applied coats of GacoFlex A47, an elastomeric acrylic roof coating known for its flexibility, weather resistance, and longevity.

The result is a clean, reinforced, and high performance roof coating system that will continue to protect this beautiful building for years to come. The project showcases not only our commitment to quality craftsmanship but also the performance of premium GacoFlex roofing products.
