Sarasota garage door company grows reach with acquisition

A Sarasota-based garage door company has bought a business with similar offerings in central Florida. D&D Garage Doors & Gates recently completed its acquisition of Southwood Garage Doors of Sebring. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We saw the opportunity to help grow D&D’s footprint as well as help provide more product offerings for Southwood in the Sebring market,” Joe Ernst, vice president of national accounts, says in an email to the Business Observer.

D&D Garage Doors & Gates, whose corporate headquarters is at 1177 Cattlemen Road, has locations around the state, from Collier County to Palm Beach County to Jacksonville to Ocala to St. Petersburg and Tampa. It provides residential and commercial garage door installation and repair services as well as residential gate systems.
