American Airlines will begin offering nonstop service later this year between Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers and Phoenix.
The airline will operate the flights daily from Nov. 20 to Dec. 3 and Dec. 18 to Jan. 6, 2026, to coincide with the holiday season, according to a statement.
Service between RSW and PHX is one of seven flights the Fort Worth, Texas-based airline announced June 26. Others were in the west and midwest. It is also among more than 50 destinations American Airlines has rolled out in 2025.
“American is focused on giving our customers the most options to pick the perfect vacation destination,” American’s Managing Director of Global Network Planning Jason Reisinger says in a statement.
RSW, which served more than 11 million passengers in 2024, is among the top 50 airports for passenger traffic in the United States. It offers more than 70 destinations.
