Tampa mental health platform Cope Notes, which delivers text messages that foster emotional resilience and mental well-being, has extended its partnership with the Central Florida Behavioral Health Network to provide mental health services for school districts in Pasco, Charlotte and DeSoto counties.

This collaboration, according to a statement, aims to make mental health resources more accessible to youth and adults, “empowering thousands with anonymous daily support.” It is available to faculty, staff, and students, and CFBHN is offering Cope Notes subscriptions at no cost to the districts, “marking a significant step towards addressing the growing mental health needs of Florida’s education system,” the release adds.

To date, this collaboration has distributed more than 1,000 subscriptions, with thousands more being made available across more than 100 schools this spring semester.

Cope Notes Founder and CEO Johnny Crowder says this service "is exactly the type of tool I needed when I was in school.”

Since 2018, Cope Notes has delivered more than 4 million daily text messages that combine positive psychology, neuroscience and peer support to deliver health education content that requires less than 10 seconds of daily interaction to produce measurable results. “These micro-interventions are proven to reduce depression, anxiety and stress while enhancing coping skills and emotional intelligence,” the release states.

“Central Florida Behavioral Health Network cares about youth mental health, and understands that investing in our educators is just as important,” says Cope Notes Founder and CEO Johnny Crowder. “Making daily support accessible at this scale through this partnership allows us to reach those who need it most, when they need it most. This is exactly the type of tool I needed when I was in school.”

Parents are encouraged to sign up their middle and high school children, and district employees are urged to take advantage of this resource for themselves to help combat burnout, compassion fatigue, and stress. District students and staff can redeem their free subscriptions through the following links: DeSoto, Charlotte and Pasco.
