A waterfront estate on Tampa’s ritzy Bayshore Boulevard is up for sale.
The 5,874-square-foot home is at 6220 Bayshore Blvd. and has an asking price of $7.9 million.
While the house has the prestigious street name attached to it, it is south of the main — and best known — stretch of Bayshore that runs from Ballast Point Park nearly to downtown.
That location has an additional perk: It is away from the more populated thoroughfare that is hijacked by marauding pirates — many who are dentists, judges and HVAC company owners by day — and drunken locals celebrating Gasparilla each January.
The house itself has 340-foot bay frontage and sits on 0.88-acre. It has five bedrooms and six full, and one half, bathrooms.
Some of the touches include a chef’s kitchen with Carrera marble, gas range and bar fridge; multiple fireplaces, cathedral ceilings and bay views; and wraparound porches and balconies.
As for any concerns about its proximity to water during hurricane season, the listing says that oaks surrounding the property as well as deep-rooted native trees and mangroves provide protection.
“These natural defenses paired with expert engineering have kept this estate remarkably dry,” the listing says. “This home has never flooded.”
The house is listed by Rimma Magdessian of Coldwell Banker Realty Tampa.
