Allegiant will be offering five new flights this fall at airports across the region, including in the Fort Myers market, where the carrier is making its debut.

The Las Vegas-based airline is launching three routes out of Southwest Florida International Airport as well as adding flights at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport and Punta Gorda Airport, where it already has an established presence.

The new routes at RSW will take off in November. They include:

  • Allentown, Pennsylvania, via Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE), starting Nov. 13
  • Appleton, Wisconsin, via Appleton International Airport (ATW), starting Nov. 21
  • Des Moines, Iowa, via Des Moines International Airport (DSM), starting Nov. 21

The new flight at PGD will connect Punta Gorda with New Orleans via Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), starting Nov. 21.

The new route out of SRQ will link Sarasota-Bradenton with Toledo, Ohio, through Toledo Express Airport (TOL), starting Nov. 20.

“We're excited to see Allegiant continue to expand its offerings at SRQ,” President and CEO of the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport Rick Piccolo says in a statement. “The addition of Toledo, Ohio, marks the 35th nonstop destination served by Allegiant at SRQ and strengthens our connections to the Midwest.”

Allegiant focuses on linking small-to-medium-sized cities with top vacation destinations.

“As the only commercial air carrier in Toledo, this route will give travelers in both regions unprecedented access to exciting destinations across our network," Allegiant Chief Commercial Officer Drew Wells says in a statement. "This expansion reflects our commitment to connecting underserved communities with affordable, convenient travel options."
