A low-cost airline has extended its schedule at four airports in the region through February 2026 and will be offering service to nine cities.
Avelo Airlines, based in Houston, typically plans its schedules out a few months at a time, according to a spokesperson for the airline, who says this is typical for low-fare carriers.
The airline serves four airports in the region: Lakeland International Airport, Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers and Tampa International Airport.
Avelo Airlines will offer service through Feb. 10, 2026, to these destinations from LAL, SRQ, RSW and TPA:
“It’s time to start planning winter and holiday travel, and we are excited to extend Avelo’s Central Florida flight schedule through mid-February 2026,” Avelo Airlines Head of Commercial Trevor Yealy says in a statement.
One-way fares start at $39, between LAL and BNA, if booked by July 16, according to the statement.
Avelo Airlines launched in 2021 and provides flights to underserved routes. Since it began, the airline reports it has flown more than 7.4 million customers on nearly 60,000 flights. Avelo Airlines offers service to 53 cities across 21 states and Puerto Rico as well as Jamaica, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
