Sharks and spicy hot chicken: June on 'From the Corner Office' podcast

The past month of "From the Corner Office" podcast episodes dropped by the Business Observer have included wisdom and insight from a nonprofit executive, a Nashville hot chicken purveyor in Tampa, an original shark tank investor now in Clearwater and a recruiting and hiring retention expert.

The guests, and some of their key insights, include: 

• Jamie Van Cuyk, founder of Growing Your Team, who talked about how great leaders, she's learned, have a "people-first" mentality and the importance of hiring off the conversation, not the resume.
• Ashley Dietz, president and CEO of the Florida Philanthropic network, who spoke about the importance of knowing the “why” of the people you serve, why you should lead with humor and leave your ego at the door and why “collaboration moves at the speed of trust.”

• Kevin Harrington, original shark on the TV show “Shark Tank” and inventor of the infomercial, who spoke about why good leaders need to surround themselves with good people, recognizing success is being able to go from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm and why failing fast — and cheap — can be a treasure of lessons
