A family-run dermatology practice has relocated and expanded.
WassermanUlitsky Dermatology, led by husband-and-wife physicians Justin Wasserman and Olga Ulitsky, is now at 409 Serano Way in Nokomis.
Previously, the practice was on the island of Venice, more than 7 miles away.
The new office, which spans 11,100 square feet, was built by Willis Smith Construction in just under a year; the team broke ground in June 2024 and completed the building by May.
Roughly double the size of the previous location, the new office is the “realization of a career-long dream,” the doctors say in a statement, enabling them to offer care in a space “designed to meld both form and function.”
Inside the dermatology clinic are 18 treatment rooms, including one dedicated to lasers and another to blue light therapy; three spa rooms; two waiting rooms; a numbing lounge; and a Mohs lab, where doctors can process tissues related to skin cancer.
To support the growing practice, the clinic plans to increase its staff by 60%. It is hiring for multiple positions, including patient service representative and medical assistant.
Before the move, WassermanUlitsky Dermatology had 20 employees, according to a representative for the practice, who says that when fully operational, the new building will require more than 32 employees.
After closing its Venice location on June 26, the practice began seeing patients on June 30 at its new office in Nokomis.
