A national financial services firm has opened an office in Sarasota, where its CEO will be based. Steward Partners, an employee-owned company specializing in comprehensive wealth management, now has a brick-and-mortar location in One Sarasota Tower.
The Connecticut-headquartered firm, which was established in 2013, has had a local advisor presence in Sarasota for years but wanted to create an “anchor” as it expands across the Southeast, according to a statement.
"For years, Sarasota has been an important part of who we are as a firm," Steward Partners CEO Jim Gold says in a statement. "Establishing our first dedicated location here reflects both the loyalty of the clients who have trusted us and the growth we see ahead.”
In addition to Gold, several of the firm's financial advisors and support staff will be based at the new office, located at 2 N. Tamiami Trail, Suite 602.
"This is more than a new address — it's a strategic investment in the future of our firm and our partners," Gold says. "Sarasota represents the type of community where our model thrives. By opening this office, we're reinforcing our commitment to long-term growth, deeper client relationships and building a firm that continues to rise to meet the needs of the families and investors we serve."
Steward Partners, which recently relocated its headquarters from New York City to Stamford, Connecticut, as it grew its headcount, says the Sarasota office will enable it to offer high-touch personalized wealth management services to clients while also developing advisors.
“This office provides a collaborative, modern space that enhances both advisor and client experiences,” Gold says in a statement.
The firm provides comprehensive wealth planning, institutional consulting, private banking and business solutions. It was responsible for almost $46 billion in client assets as of October. Steward Partners has more than 80 offices nationwide. Other locations in the region are in Clearwater and Naples.
