Frontier Airlines is launching 23 new routes this holiday season, including a new flight out of Tampa International Airport, the company announced Thursday.
Beginning April 3, the budget airline will launch a new flight from TPA to Virginia’s Norfolk International Airport (ORF) twice per week, according to a release, with fares starting at $59.
“As we look ahead to 2026, there’s a lot to be excited about,” Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines, says in a release. “We’re thrilled to kick things off with the announcement of these new routes, giving travelers even more affordable options as they plan their spring breaks next year.”
Frontier’s new flight is one in a series of additional routes the budget airline has added to its TPA schedule in recent months. In October, Frontier introduced nonstop routes to Kansas City International Airport and St. Louis Lambert International Airport, and in February announced direct flights to Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to TPA passenger activity report, released in October, Frontier was the airport’s fifth-largest airline, servicing roughly 9.4% of all travelers. Frontier now offers more than 20 flights out of its Tampa hub to many U.S. and Caribbean destinations, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, New York, Philadelphia, San Juan and Chicago.
Another new route from Frontier for spring 2026 is a nonstop flight from Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers to Indianapolis. That route will be twice per week beginning March 27.
