A home at 18826 Ganton Avenue in the Concession has become the second highest-priced sale ever in the Lakewood Ranch area.
The $6.9 million sale of the estate was announced Wednesday by the Schemmel Soda Group's Donna Soda, who marketed the home. Schemmel Soda was associated with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
Manatee County property records hadn't been updated as of Wednesday afternoon to reflect the new owners. Don Weippert and Linda Weippert bought the lot in August 2018, when it was acquired for $675,000.
In 2022, the home at 8499 Lindrick Lane in the Concession became the highest-priced home sale in the Lakewood Ranch area when it sold for $7.98 million.
Soda now has three of the highest-priced homes to sell in the 34202 area code, which includes the Concession and parts of Lakewood Ranch. The Ganton Avenue property closed Aug. 20.
The Ganton Avenue home, which is four-bedrooms, five baths and 6,599 square feet, was designed and built by John Cannon Homes. It is across the street from a preserve, which increased its privacy and made it more attractive., the agent says. A release on the sale notes the outdoor resort living area features a full kitchen with granite counters, a Lynx grill and Perlick beverage drawers, along with a drop-down 75-inch rotating television. The outdoor area includes an infinity pool and spa and a lake view.
“This estate represents the very best of Lakewood Ranch living, where architectural excellence and refined design come together in a truly remarkable setting,” Soda says in the statement. “I am proud to see it achieve a milestone result for our market."
