Those interested in Sunchase, a new community being developed by Del Webb in Parrish, will be able to get a better feel for the community, with the Aug. 16 opening of six model homes.

Sunchase is exclusively for those ages 55 and up, and its designers used insight from these types of buyers to shape their offerings, which include 18 floor plans. The homes feature indoor and outdoor spaces, open layouts for entertaining and single-level living. Floor plans range from 1,200 to more than 3,300 square feet, with prices from the mid-$300,000s to above $600,0000.

Pre-sales at Sunchase started Aug. 8, with buyers now able to purchase within the community’s first phase of available home sites. Home construction is already underway, with the first residences nearing completion in October and November, officials say.

When built out, the 55-plus community from Del Webb will feature 1,003 homes.

Del Webb is a brand under PulteGroup, an Atlanta-based homebuilding company that closed more than 31,000 home sales last year and posted $18 billion in revenue in 2024.

“Sunchase is rapidly progressing, and we’re pleased to offer prospective residents a tangible glimpse of the community’s vision,” Sean Strickler, president of PulteGroup’s West Florida division, says in a statement. “With model homes available for touring and key amenities underway, buyers can now experience the quality, design and lifestyle that defines the Del Webb brand at a compelling price.”

Amenities will include the multimillion-dollar Solara Clubhouse containing the private Beachwood Tap Bar and Grill, fitness center and gathering rooms. Also among the offerings will be swimming pools, cabanas, outdoor fire pits, covered pickleball, walking trails, a yoga lawn, putting green and golf simulator lounge. A full-time lifestyle director will help plan activities from fitness classes to social gatherings.

“Del Web Sunchase offers active adults the opportunity to enjoy a worry-free resort lifestyle in an unbeatable location,” Strickler says in a statement. “Parrish is growing every day, with new parks, conveniences, health care and easy access to Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch and St. Pete. Our residents will enjoy a tucked-away location offering easy access to the amazing gulf coast culture and lifestyle.”

Sunchase is off State Road 62 at 9114 Sunset Haven Terrace. Model homes are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for Wednesday and Sunday, when they are open from noon to 5 p.m.
