A Sarasota software development company recently opened a new engineering office in Asia. Utilasoft now offers its custom services from a branch in Multan, Pakistan.

“This office has been a year in the making,” founder and Chief Product Officer for Utilasoft Chris Abbott says in a statement. “We knew Multan would be a strategic fit — it offers the engineering talent and culture we need to build high-performing teams.”

The office in Pakistan will start with five developers and expand to 12 by early 2026, according to a statement from Utilasoft.

Adding the new branch strengthens the company’s ability to scale platform development teams and speed up project delivery for its growing global customer base, the statement says.

“Our clients don’t come to us for off-the-shelf tools,” Abbott says in a statement. “They come to us when they need something built right, fast and made to fit. This new office gives us more capacity to deliver on that promise.”

The new office will be managed by Utilasoft Vice President of Engineering Asim Hamz and will collaborate with U.S. teams on core platform features, integration layers and engineering support for active client projects.

“This is more than just a new location — it’s a long-term investment in how we build software,” Hamza says in the statement. “Multan gives us direct access to developers who are eager to solve real-world challenges. It’s a huge advantage for our engineering organization.”

Utilasoft is a subsidiary of Public Products, which is a Sarasota-headquartered business incubator and software development company founded in 2021. Its mission is to transform ideas into scalable ventures across the technology, consumer products and financial services industries.
